This is a great venue showing a good variety of shows from amateur dramatics to great dance shows Hard to think it was a squash court and nightclub in an earlier life
This is a lovely theatre. I have played in the cellar bar and as far as I remember it was July last year. We supported an American band who were excellent. I have also watched concerts by a couple of other bands in the main theatre and it is such a lovely venue. The outside of the building is worth... 更多
The Lawrence Batley Theatre is housed in a converted Chapel. It is on 3 levels and the rows of seats are stepped so everyone has a good view of the stage. The seats are very comfortable. Some of the performances are by profesional companies and others by local amateur dramatic or operatic societies. The types of programmes vary from amusing,... 更多
Never had a bad visit yet. Recently been to see a production 'It's a wonderful life ' and 'Shafted'. Both superbly staged, looking forward to another visit next week to 'The Merry Wives'. The front of house staff are very helpful and welcoming and the bar is a nice place for pre - show drinks, coffee etc. Should mention 'Queenies'... 更多
Went again for an intimate viewing in the basement theatre where we saw A Taste of Honey. Another excellent performance from the cast. Drinks in the bar before and at intervals add to the experience. Friendly welcomes and relaxed atmosphere. We've already booked our next play in the main theatre in a couple of weeks.

I kid you not! Quite an informal setting, relaxed atmosphere, particularly when half way down a bottle of red! Thank you LBT we will certainly be... 更多

As a local, I visit this theatre with an adult friend or with my (10 and 12 yr-old) grandchildren - the programme is VERY mixed to suit all ages and tastes. The venue is small and friendly and there... 更多

It certainly was up close and personal as the actors were within touching distance but this made for an atmospheric experience. Seats did get a little uncomfortable towards the end but... 更多
