years ago woodend the building above this was a wonderful traditional natural history museum. sadly due to local council cuts that building was turned into office units. Cheap to enter. Three pounds for a year pass to the museum and also the art gallery. First floor is about dinosaurs and fossils. Second floor is objects behind glass cabinets.
The Rotunda was one of the first true museums being built solely for this purpose and opened in 1829. At the time of writing admission is £3 for adults and the ticket grants admission to the art gallery as well as being valid for as many visits as you care to make in 12 months. It's worth a visit...the entrance fee is only £3 per person and lasts a year and also grants you free entrance to the nearby Arts Gallery, which makes it worth it. Cleverly laid out, cheerful staff.
Excellent and informative the Rotunda Museum offers an i sight into the dinosaur world along the east coast. The exhibits were interesting there were a number of interactive displays and on the day we visited there were opportunities for children to do weaving and make badges ( thank you to both ladies who were very patient with small children) The... 更多
Called today as the weather was rubbish. Although it's small, it's well worth a visit, the cost is £3.00 and that gets you a one year pass too. We'll laid out good information and great for an hour or so if the weather is pants
We escaped the rain in here for an afternoon and came out with 2 very stimulated children and a lot of respect for the abilities of staff in small museums. First off, it was free for kids under 18 and only £3 for adults - great value!! There was a hands on fossil events that allowed the kids to examine... 更多
