Interesting local landmark, worth a visit if you're passing, but not really worth a specific trip to see it. Not a lot to do there other than look at the outside of the column, as others have said, you can't access the inside or go to the top.
A column in a pretty serene area. Unfortunately not open to the public but worth a look if you're in the area. We were driving past on our way home so thought we'd stop by. It was a bit tricky getting to it this time of year though with the mud!
If you want a bit if peace and quiet go here as there is absolutely nothing else except the column - ok if you happen to be jogging past but wouldn't make a special trip
I love keppels coloum. There is nothing there but the coloum, but I have spent many an hour sitting near to it - watching the world go by. Lovely views of the countryside and wentworth estate from here.
My husband and I plus a could of friends where some of the last people to be allowed to climb up Keppel's column back in 1971. The view from the top was wonderfull after climbing the 365 steps in a leap yeah an extra step was added in the days when it was open
This is a large column at the top of a field with easy access via a housing estate. There isn't much to do as the column is now closed due to safety. But I bet the views are amazing from up top. Would be great to get it reopened :) The large field leads to the woods which is a... 更多
