Pros: Great cafe and food. Good views though glass walls of cafe with upper floor accessed by an external staircase (but open to the elements). Well protected from future floods. Cons: No weather protected bird watching area like the old centre. Tiny single toilets for M & F with wash basings, but NO hand driers in either toilet. I suppose... 更多
after recommendation after meeting friends for lunch we were recommended to visit here, unfortunately the road towards the reserve went on for ever and we got stuck in roadworks where they were making pathways, so it took ages to get there by which time it was 4pm and closed. First visit to Gibraltar Point and very impressed with the new Visitors Centre. Modern building on stilts in case of flooding with good cafe and views across the Nature Reserve. Good walks and hides for bird watching.
Came and did a couple of short walks with a break in the middle for lunch at the new visitor centre. Food very good value. Interesting building with a lovely view whether inside or outside. For the best view climb the steps to the upper deck. But of course the real star of the show is mother nature.
Just a quick trip to Gibraltar Point to look at the new Visitors Centre ( now built on stilts to avoid damage from any further flooding , which decimated the old centre).....Very good cafe, little shop and toilet facilities.....

The original visitor centre, was lost in the fairly recent storm surge which hit the east coast and has been replaced by a super new centre on stilts. We arrived and waited at the desk ..... and waited .......and waited. Someone eventually came, but didn't exactly make us... 更多
