Shame it was pouring with rain, but nevertheless, it was very interesting. Top tip - TAKE AN UMBRELLA! Apparently, Bergen gets 300 days of rain per year, and most of them fell on the same day that we were there!! Still a nice place though :-)
Bergen was such a positive surprise. Although it rains 300 days/year (according to my Swedish friends), we were lucky and it was not raining, so we could enjoy a good walk all over the town after escalating the hill to take the Floyenbana down. Bryggen is very charming and give you stunning pics!
The well preserved buildings and continued use give a real sense of what life in Bergen might have been like in the past. Well worth taking time out to visit.
