The museum has a limited collection but does have the original scream" painting by Munch, rather than the Munch Museum. there was a beautiful special exhibition of oriental works when we visited which changes from time to time. For those who find the enormous city museums in NY, London, Chicago, paris, etc. its reasabl size which does not deman a... 更多

I keep coming back for most changing exhibitions here as well as to the the permanent collections. This month see the end to the venue as a museum as they are moving to new museum on the seaside. Their current exhibition - Japonomania - is totally excellent. It's the best show at this venue ever! Hopefully they will keep up... 更多

Visited using our Oslo pass so entry was free. Had a Japan mania exhibition as well as the usual galleries. Great to see the designs and the way technology has changed the face of design through the ages. Super hot inside, one of the readers said 27.5 degrees and they had the windows open. Nice to reminisce about some of... 更多

During all the museums we saw whilst in Oslo this was my favourite. Spanning the history of Norwegian art and design; you really get a feel for the styles and changes throughout the 21st century. The Japanese section was amazing and so interesting to see the oriental influence on Norwegian art. Cheap enterable, cute gift shop and friendly staff. Well... 更多

I enjoyed this museum because I have an interest in the history of scandinavian architecture and design. This museum gave me lots of information in a way that also allowed me to enjoy many of the products developed in those periods.

Even though they are moving and only one floor is open I LOVED this museum. It shows the history of Scandinavian design in the 20th century and their collection of chairs and porcelain is impressive. On one ticket you can also get to National Gallery.

Really liked this museum, far better than the similar promising design museum in Copenhagen. It houses a great collection of Scandinavian design of furniture, clothing, day to day items, decorative pieces, electrical items etc There was also a temporary Japanese design exhibit detailing the influence of Japanese design on Norwegian designers. Other reviewers said the museum is moving, I am... 更多

The museum shows the history of Norwegian and other Scandinavian coutries' design. The collection is great and there are many things to see. I recommend to visit also for decorative art fans. There weren't so many visitors when I visited this museum after 15:00 in the middle of summer.

Interesting museum for industrial design by decade. Beware though, currently only part of the museum is open as it is soon to move to a new location.

Very interesting museum that walks you through different ages of Scandinavian design, with details specific to the Norwegian influence (vs Swedish or Finnish for example). Everyday objects, glass, ceramics, clothes and a big collection of chairs designs. It needs to offer more written information/ context for the objects on the last floor. It's a walk away from the city center.
