The canal is a short walk from the city centre and my wife and I passed over everyday of our stay in Vienna when going to and from our accommodation on Praterstrasse. This was in December and there wasn't much activity but nevertheless it was nice to be able to look up and down the canal when we crossed it... 更多
Beautiful area for long walks along the canal while enjoying the scenery. Boats, ships, trees and of course, the beautiful old Vienna buildings. A great way to get to know the city. At any point of your walk you can stop and take a break at a good pastry shop or a cafe.
while we were in Vienna we spent a long walk on the banks of river Danube and the two associated canal. It has beautiful gardens and lovely view of the city line. One cannot miss the cable stayed bridge and two other bridges while on the go.
This is the best place for a sunny day.If you have enough time, go rent a mini bout, it cost 20 euros for 4 persons and you can take a ride on the Canal. There are a lot of swimming spots and sunbeds(Copa Cagrana near Onu City) and one can rent a bike for a nice walk. For family trips try the... 更多

It is an enjoyable place to cycle/stroll along AND perhaps more importantly it serves as an... 更多
We embarked on the Danube Canal river boat cruise for free using our Vienna Pass card. The only recollections I can remember taking back from the cruise was the graffiti that... 更多
The canal is quite long and it's great for taking a stroll. You can also find bars and restaurants on the side and it has a lovely atmosphere. Some people like to sun tan in the area or walk their dogs. You also get a nice view of the city along the way.
On the banks of the Danube canal is a brilliant series of abstract sculpture by Karl Karner. Worth while viewing if you are into the visual arts.
My husband and I always take cruises in every city we go to, but that one was the worst of all. We booked one-hour cruise, but we were bored after 20 minutes - there was nothing interesting to see from the boat perspective. Even our kids wanted to get off the boat after half an hour. It's a waste of... 更多
