The shop signs are fantastic. Originally, they were a sign that the shopkeeper had the appropriate qualifications. I had to ration the photos - I could have taken dozens. There are really unusual signs and they make the street very attractive.
A popular street for shopping lovers. High fashion shops with high prices. This area is always crowded. There are plenty of shops to see and visit. Every shop has its own stylish banner. All shops are closed on Sundays.
The Gstattengasse is a very charming street in the center of the city. Some parts of it are quiet and there are some very nice bars and restaurants along it. Here you will also find the lift to the Museum of Modern Art. I love the more remote part of it, as there is my favorite Pub, the Murphey`Law located.
The facades are nicely painted, a small street from the market place to the end of the Old Town but, so it seems, always crowded. Try to go there early mornings.
You will go along this street to get to the monchsberg lift. Some of the buildings are colourful, many have their dates on the eaves. There is also one of the old town gates. Probably worth a visit if you have time.
This side of the Old Town is an absolute treat to your eyes with colourful buildings with few of them not so common like Bright Yellow or Darkish purple and built right up to the Monchsberg Rock. The Food stores and sweet shop are an absolute treat to your tummy if you are a hardcore foodie.
Wonderful & Colourful old buildings with their dates of building emblazoned on their facades. Built up against the imposing rock face of the Salzburg heights and with shops & cafes to suit all, well worth a stop on a sunny afternoon.
I love this street.. Buildings are well decorated.. Give yourself so much time to visit this street.. Many stores are available to buy from.. The food store especially the sweets shops are really breathtaking.. Sure you will cheat your diet on this day
