Old architecural building in the center. In the winter you can see amazing Cribs made from ice. Very crowded place in the lately afternoon vhen the ligts are on.
This house is very easy to find in Herrengasse. You walk through a passage way to a picturesque courtyard with wrought iron well. When you slowly look around you will see intricate guttering, stone crests and interesting sculptures. It was quite warm when we went in January and the ice sculpture nativity seen was very close to melting away.
This renaissance court yard must not be missed when visiting the city. It is the seat of the provincial government and well liked by locals as well. Great building in which I appreciated most the inner courtyard. It is fascinating specialy during December when there is a great ice sculpture placed.
This building is spectacular. The inner courtyard is a beautiful example of renaissance architecture and planning. It is also the home of the Styrian regional parliament. A sight not to be missed in the centre of Graz.
This is I believe a unique museum. It is the towns arsenal and as such contains multiples of weaponry and armour, not just one instance. This courtyard is hidden in the middle of the city, but definitely worth looking into and taking few photos, the building are beautiful. During the christmas time there's also a crib made out of ice which is totally a must see if you are in Graz during that time.
Domenico dell'Aglio designed this beautiful renaissance courtyard. Arcades on all the three floors around. You feel like somewhere in Northern Italy. The main facade of the building is also a masterpiece. Still today this is the seat of the local parlament. It is just a not so llittle marvel.
Make sure to walk into this courtyard, there is no entrance fee and the facade is very beautiful. You can also walk up the stairs to the second level to get views of the courtyard from above.
