A must see. It was lovely and quiet in the winter, not many people around. It takes a few hours to breathe it all in. A very wonderful church. ANd its still used. Make a donation, read the newsletter, write up some names for prayer. Sit and contemplate
I stumbled across this place on one of my first days in paphos whilst heading to to harbour. Great to see such history and no entry fee. I went on a Sunday when a service was being held. Not being a Greek orthodox I couldn't go in but could watch from outside. Well worth a visit if your into history.... 更多
We went to Mass here and it was in English. Mass time 12.00. There was a Mass in Polish before ours and one for Indians(?) after ours. There was also a procession led by ladies from the Philloipines their singing was beautiful. In the old town of Pathos a lovely old church. Impressive walkways around the site to stop you from walking on the old mosaics. Interesting to see all the different developments over the centuries on this site. No charge & you can go into the church and view the lovely icons.
