I'm a lover of glass so was looking forward to my visit here and made it a point to buy from here rather than from all the other myriad places you can buy from through out the island. My favourite glass is from the island of Murano in Venice but the Maltese Mdina glass is beautiful too in its own... 更多
We went to Mdina Glass because of a very nice vase that was displayed at our hotel (Hilton). Beautiful factory outside Mdina (they do have a small shop in Mdina). Amazing selection of glass and various other items. We were able to find the vase that was displayed at the Hilton. Mdina Glass offers shipping to the US at very... 更多
I love visiting Mdina Glass when we come to Malta (I always like to get something to take home). We have visited both the shop in Mdina and the factory shop at Ta Qali Craft Village. If you go to the one at Ta Qali, you can sometimes see the glass blowing which is interesting. Last year I got a... 更多
We haven't been very much impressed by the Mdina glass. We have seen a lot of works, but most of them were for real tourist souvenir shops. What we loved from Mdina glass - the glass Christmas trees in Valletta. They were really something special.
The glassware produced by this company is beautiful. There are so many styled and colours to choose from. The Christmas trees are cute and can be taken apart for transportation. There are large glass pieces down to tiny angels. All are reasonably priced. This is the elephant bought for me.
This glass is special. The colors are so clear and brilliant and the designs are gorgeous. To be honest, I didn't find them to be over-priced considering the quality and how special they are. We purchased Christmas ornaments, little Christmas trees with tiny ornaments you hang, a gorgeous water pitcher and some candle holders.
Well worth the visit to take a few small trinkets home. The colours are gorgeous and the combinations a wonderful art. Straight from the manufacturer definitely worth a visit.
