Our lovely comfortable apartment was just off Valhallavägen. We enjoyed our many walks to the centre, along Nybrogatan and parallel streets. Our first afternoon we passed the unique Ostermalms Saluhall and visited Hallwyl Museum, a grand introduction to the city. Karlavagen and Valhallavägen are wonderful boulevards with a fine central linear park. The former passes through Karlaplan with its great... 更多
Norrmalm is mainly a commercial area Stockholm. Here you can find lots of hotels, restaurants, bars and great shopping. Do not miss the vegetable/fruit & flower market at Hötorget (open all days except Sunday's). You also have Drottninggatan, a pedestrian street with a lot of shops.
This rather large area is the main shopping area in Stockholm with all the larger shops and some department stores. Its also the part of town that was mostly rebuilt in the 50s and 60s so there are fewer old buildings here. Lately the buildings from 60s have become a little run down but rebuilding occurs here and there. Its... 更多
This is the stone heart of the city. The district of buildings, streets, history, small parks. Decide what you want to see and walk from point to point. You will learn a lot and get the feel of Stockholm. Don't miss Tegnérlunden and Strindberg. Drottninggatan from Kungsgatan and west is nice. Ever crossed an esker? Take the unique stairs at... 更多
When going to Norrmalm, Vasastan etc. you will end up where the locals go and you will find smaller shops and great restaurants and small places to have a coffee. So please leave the most central spots where mostly tourists and farmers roam. Experience the real Stockholm and walk around in the other areas :-)
It is a beautiful area with many shops, bars and restaurants. It is really nice to walk around and stop for a coffee, beer or dinner
Norrmalm is my favorit district in Stockholm. They have old buildings and houses here too and there's not only in the old town. You can find many things here since it's the center of Stockholm.
Norrmalm is the main neigbourhood of the center of Stockholm. The place recommended to start a walk is Norrmalmstorg, a plaza with a few small stands for flowers and the typical Swedish kiosk, "Pressbyrån". From here it is possible to walk to a great variety of attractions, depending on your interest, leaving at the south west corner will take you... 更多
