It would be possible to spend many hours in this wonderful museum, we were there for about an hour very well thought out. It has just been extended and it is very well done. I guess we will return one day on a visit as i worked as a marine engineer for some years.
The museum is an integrated part of the town of Marstal, low-key but highly fascinating when you finally get here. If you are looking for maritime authenticity, this is the place to go. Marstal was once the maritime center of Denmark, and the museum will give you a feeling for the joys and tragedies of life on the high seas.
Very interesting ship museum. Had a wonderful time. Takes you exploring the history and the people are very nice, helpful and knowledgeable.
The small museum is certainly telling a story and a wonderful one too! Go to this beutifull Island of Aeroe and go the biggest city Marstal there you will get an overview of how the sea can tribute to grow of an industry. A pity that so few go by this Island. Really worth a visit.
