You can't come to Skopelos and not visit this beautiful spot. No wonder it was chosen for Hollywood fame. Hats off to Meryl Streep for running up here as it is soooo steep! Well worth the climb up for the fantastic views at the top. Choose a cooler time of day and take water as you will need it at... 更多
People talk about the steps as if climbing is the main event. Totally wrong if you are at all afraid of heights. Going up, just don’t look down. Going down, I don’t know what to say except take it slowly and don’t wear white shorts. I will say that the climb and the anxiety were totally worth it. Be prepared... 更多
If you spend your holyday at Skopelos, Greece, take an excursion to see Agios Ioannis Kastri, a church on the top of the rock, which needs 120 stairs to climb up to the top. Remember to visit the small beach adjacent to the minastery. It is really small, but have a great scenery and wonderful water - and not to crowded
Famous church from Mamma-Mia movie is the must place to visit if hiking upstairs is not a problem for you. Pick sunset or sunrise to avoid high temperatures during day and enjoy fantastic view from the top.
Wow this place gives you thrills and chills. Right from the road as you approach Agios Ioannis you feel the peace, beauty and serenity. This charming small church on top of a large rock is accessed via a rather steep climb up many steps but the view from the top makes it worthwhile. As many people already know, it was the location of the wedding scene from the film Mamma Mia.
This little chapel on the top of the rock is absolutely amazing. 100 steps to reach it and it is definitely worthwhile. The views from the top are simply amazing. Highly recommend it. Parking can be a little challenging but again well worth the effort.
