a great insight into one of the things Greece and especially Crete is famous for, a small family run business, very interesting, the tour lasts about half an hour and you have a chance to try and buy some of the local produce, would definitely recommend.
It was definitely worth to visit this farm. The host was very friendly. She took her time to explain about the production of olive oil. It is nice to understand how locals live and also how localproducts are made. We had a nice chat with the host. We definitely recommend to visit this farm if you are in the neighbourhood.... 更多
American lady showed us around and she was quite amusing. The visit was quite short but if you combine this with a visit to the Melidoni cave it is worth a call
Had a plan to see the caves and the olive oil factory, saw the caves, lovely, amazing with very sad story attached. Left there and came straight to the olive oil factory, where we were greeted by very friendly mother in law of the sons who in a very engaging way described the process from donkey driven to modern mechanised... 更多
We came here on a tour train we caught outside our hotel. The owner gave us a very informative talk about the process of how the olive oil is made...she was very friendly and welcoming. I bought two small tins of olive oil and now wish I had bought more, (too worried about how much my luggage was going to... 更多
We had a hard time finding this place and took many wrong turns, but finally stumbled upon it. The lady that does the tours is the mother of the owner of the factory. She was a lot of fun and has a great sense of humour!!! She led us through the old ways of doing things and the new ways... 更多
We saw the sign on the side of the road on our way back from the cave and decided to drop by for a visit! The factory is run by a lovely family and the tour itself was extremely informative! We learned how olives are harvested, collected and processed to get a bottle of oil. The factory had equipment from... 更多
Well worth a visit. An entertaining way to spend 45 minutes and learn about something that is very good for you. No pressure to purchase some oil at the end of the talk but was a must as looked very nice and was very reasonably priced.
Just by chance we drove in this place not knowing what we are going to encounter, and we were there 10 minutes before the closing which was at 6pm! Nevertheless, the owner ( a lovely and bubbly American lady) welcomed us with open arms, and was giving us a nice tour around her factory, about how olive oil is produced... 更多
