After figuring out the way to the teleferico it was worth it! At the top is a parking church plus a few cafes you can wander around. The places to eat are very Portuguese and it seems a holy place but a nice way to spend an afternoon without spending a lot of money Make sure to map it before... 更多
This was a great scenic trip . You can walk to the building or park your car outside in the car park. Tickets were €5 return- we really enjoyed the ride up to the park , looking down on the city and outlying areas. We passed over many different types of housing including apartment blocks , traditional houses and even... 更多
I was in Guimaraes for a couple of days and am so glad that I made time for the cable car ride to Penha Serra. Beautiful cathedral, hotel, rock formations, hiking trails. There is a campground that I didn't walk to. A couple of small cafes were open across the parking lot from the hotel that I'm not sure was... 更多
We began from Penha. We were recommended to do it this way by our hotel owner, and I feel this is the better way to experience it. The prices are quite reasonable and the views are good. We had a snack in Gimaraes and returned up the mountain in the evening after a pleasant day in the town. We then... 更多
We used the teleferico on a cloudy day in October. We visited the church on the top of the mountain and ate lunch at the restaurant near it. It started to thunder and lightning during lunch. When we went back to the teleferico to go down, it was closed because of the weather. The lady there called us a cab.... 更多
Very quick and efficient way to get up and down the hill with some great views. The gondolas are small but feel very safe and secure. When we were there they were operating until 745 in the evening. Pehna itself is well worth a visit particularly the large rocks and boulders connected by a myriad of footpaths.
Cable car is easy to get to, and the park at the top has great views, and provides a good place to stroll, have lunch and change the routine from touring another Old Town Center City.
Getting to the Teleferico is an easy walk from the Old Town area. We arrived a few minutes before the 10:00 opening and were the only ones in line when they promptly opened on time. The cable car door opening is quite narrow and if you are a person of girth you may have somewhat of a problem. And, it... 更多
Whenever I bring a group to this area I take them up to stunning Penha by this cable car. The view is lovely, the cars are stable and comfortable and everybody enjoys the trip.
