Very nice church in the center of Faro, suring the holidays and weekends you can see a lot of people neraby not only the locals but tourists too. In some special ocasions they have small fair with biological products. During the summer months sometimes is also possible to enjoy some music for free. The only thing that i dislike is... 更多
At the top of the town via uninspiring route if you go direct from the marina. Don't be put off by the tiny vestibule, the chapel of bones is a sight to see and worth the Eu3 if you've never seen such a thing before. Meander back through the older parts of the town and you'll be rewarded with faded... 更多
This place has an entire room made of human bones and mortar. It's pretty awesome to see in a weird way. The main church is ornate and interesting too so it's worth the 2 Euro for the visit.
Nice small church with a lot of detailed artwork. The sun symboled behind almost every holy statue. The chapel of bones, which is in the backyard, was very impressive. To think of all those passed lives build in the concrete to remain. If ghosts exist, they definitly do here! The lady's at the entrance spoke English badly but where very... 更多
Out of the ordinary, quite a beautiful church, easy to find, well worth the visit. Creepy that a small room was constructed out of the monks bones and skulls. We don't think you can find this scenario anywhere else. Easily accessible and well worth the short visit.
was well worth the visit, paid twice gypseys out side asked for a euro then woman behind desk asked for payment when i told her the women out side had asked for a entrance fee shrugged her shoulders, should be a sign up , other wise a fine little church
The Carmo Church is easily located on Faro maps and easy to get to from anywhere around the old part of the city. When we arrived (around 12:15pm) the church was due to close at 1pm so we were charged 1 euro each (normally it is 2 euro) but the 45 minutes we had was more than enough to see... 更多
Most churches in Faro are simple on the outside but they are just incredible on the inside. This one we managed to view and it was impressive. A small chapel is attached to this and it is called the bones chapel. Once inside you will see all kinds of human craniums covering the walls and the ceiling of this small... 更多
We drove more than 1 hour to visit Faro and especially this chapel. It was closed in the morning and also in the afternoon without leaving any sign. It should be open according to the opening hours mentioned at the door. We went to the tourist office and all they said was 'we know nothing'. Big disappointment for us and... 更多
