These ruins were really quite good with lots of mosaics still present. There were not a lot of explanation boards or additional information but it was still nice to putter about for an hour.
Not well signed for those going solo and who don't know the area. There is some signage but not continuous enough to get you there easily. Once there though, it is a great location and some quite nice mosaics still to be seen.
A very worthwhile excursion out of Faro, especially for people interested in history, goes to the quiet, but attractive village of Estoi and the nearby Roman ruins of Milreu. Great little Roman villa ruins.....very good value With a detailed written guide in several languages. Bit sad that you are allowed to walk all over the mosaics (we didn't ) as some of them are stunning

My imagination was kicked into gear about how things would have... 更多

Ticket office' service is excellent to sell the ticket and remind you clearly when they will close (you know, the time when you should get away in a snap !). For the rest, talk... 更多
