I have stayed at MANY provincial parks in Ontario - at least one every year since I was a baby. I have to say that this is one I consistently come back to. This year I went with my boyfriend in late June, and we had the most wonderful time. Perfect warm weather, even some hard rain, and it was... 更多
Visited the park from Toronto over the Labor Day long weekend this year and had a blast. The park is well worth the drive (about 3 hours + traffic) from the city. I went with a party of 6 (including myself) and stayed two nights. Here are some specifics on the trip that are important to consider: Hardwood Hills Campground... 更多
First time at Bon Echo Park. We only had one night to spend there as we were traveling. Reservations are highly recommended, particularly for weekends. The sites are generous in size and fairly private. There are modern, exceptionally clean washrooms/shower facilities throughout the campground. Our site was a short walk to the lake and the beautiful sandy beach area .... 更多
Different experience when a group of us staying in yurts for 2 nights. To book the yurts for the weekend, we called the reservation at 7:00am sharp in 5 months advance. The park is huge in size and offers lot of things to do: hiking, canoeing, boating, swimming and natural heritage education etc.
Stayed September 4 to 6, 2016 My boyfriend and I stayed on lot 138 which is nice; it has lots of shade and is good regarding privacy. It is close to the washrooms (read outhouse) but upwind from it so there’s no risk of getting whiffs of the washrooms. A water station is also right next to the lot which... 更多
My husband and I came here last weekend for an anniversary getaway. Next time we will bring our children and our dog. We stayed in the Fairlawns campground area. The site was beautiful, clear ground for our tenting space, clean and we had our own path to the road so we didn't have to go hiking through the campground area.... 更多
While Bon Echo may be a destination park in Ontario I can assure you that there are many other parks to experience which have much more to offer. let me start off by saying that I have not been back country in Bon Echo. Having said that, I did attempt to spend a weekend at one of the walk in... 更多
Park was very nice, great views, prices were reasonable. Also very friendly staff , specifically - Emma in the main building, park warden, the boat driver and the young guy giving us instructions on the boat I went with a friend for the day, we are definitely coming back to camp!
Bon Echo Provincial Park is a very nice campground, nice beach, nice lake.... I have been going there since I was a child. Unfortunately the management seems to have really declined over the years. This past weekend, the washroom/showers were disgustingly dirty (and I am not very fussy, I have used outhouses plenty of times no problem), on Saturday night... 更多
Just got back from a 4-day camping trip in this park. This was the first time we camped in this park. We really enjoyed it. We found the site to be well maintained. The comfort center was kept very clean. We took the ferry for a short ride across the lake and then hiked up the Clifftop trail. It was... 更多
