Firstly this visit will take you the best part of a day to see it all properly. A fascinating story of how our society has treated people with mental illness- some of it quite chilling! Then there is the art exhibition by artists labelled as mentally ill or with learning difficulties. The current temporary exhibition is how society has dealt... 更多
Museum Dr. Guislain always hosts several exhibitions simultaneously. Their collection of 'medical' equipment from earlier times in psychiatric treatment is permantently on display, as is their collection of 'outsider art' - though I suppose there's some roulation there. I visited the temporary exhibition 'Another world', about the boundaries between fantasy and fiction, and 'Adoption: between adventure and pain'. The latter... 更多
I've visited this museum several times over the last 20 years and I keep coming back - the quality of the temporary exhibitions is volatile, but this time it was worth it. It seems the exhibition space has also increased, since my last visit. This time we saw 3 temporary exhibitions. To learn more, visit the website of the museum
Very interesting with a lot of features and things to see. There is also an exhibition of artworks done by patients which is very worthwhile.
This was one of the best museums where I have been and won't even call it a museum. I really believe thats this helps to... 更多

There was also an outsider art exhibition (art by people without formal training- some by people with mental health issues) and an art exhibition on the theme of adoption. There was a lot of information to read in English about the different... 更多
Interesting place but will be excellent for any psychiatrist or doctors out there. I liked this place for psychiatry exhibition but didn't proceed to art exhibitions hosted there. I if you have couple of hours to spare then this can be the place.
As I have a professional interest in psychiatry, I was obviously interested in visiting this established museum, located within a mainly disused, historical psychiatric hospital. First things first - do not be put off by those who refer to this museum as being 'out of town' and 'not so easy to reach'. Jumping on the tram will get you outside... 更多
Not everyone is into museums and certainly museums of pyschiatry but this a special place. It is a bit out of the centre so not the easist place to visit. However the museum itself has an excellent exhibition of the history of pyschiatry as well as the history of these buildings. This is one of Europes oldest psychiatric institutions. There... 更多
