the place is not used for religious ceremonies, the small tables serve for eating what you buy at Nordsee. good and fresh.
St Catherine is my favourite neighbourhood in Brussels. The fish market, Nordzee & ABC poisonniere are fantastic for fresh fish to take home or eat standing up with a glass of wine (recommend the fish soup!). This square and the surrounding area of Danseart offers great options for food and sights. There are many outdoor eateries that start jumping on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Lovely set up for the Christmas markets. Really enjoyed the light show on the front of the cathedral. Worth spending time here at Christmas if you are popping in to see Grand Place as it's a short walk away through several market stalls.
PLACE ST CATHERINE is a wonderful square that is just a great place to visit. The site of the huge former fish market it now houses a multitude of great seafood restaurants and is packed with some wonderful pubs and bars plus you have the beautiful St Catherine Church ( currently under renovation ) which makes a great landmark site... 更多

There were a couple of amusing fairground carousels which a look of steampunk about them. One even had a rocket that rose... 更多
