Having been to Brussels many times in the past, I wanted to find a new place to eat, a place with not only great food but with a history, a story. After doing some quick online research, I discovered La Fleur en Papier Doré and was immediately convinced when I only read two names associated with the place: Magritte and... 更多
As witnessed by an old photo that occupies a whole wall of the café, this café was frequented by painter René Magritte and friends. Nowadays friendly staff serves pub food and beer (two or three on the tap). My stoemp was good but not great, tap beer could have been colder.
Ah, Het Goudblommeke in Papier, a true Brussels cafe! Don't tell anyone... Friendly and awesome staff (speaking Brussels..) with very good knowledge on local food, bars and beers. Love this authentic (historic) bar with great beers and food. Less than 5 minutes away from Manneke Pis.
We were recommended this place by a tour guide when we asked about where to get good Flemish stew. This place is fantastic, a cosy place, and the food was excellent and well priced. It is decorated with lots of interesting wall pieces, and had a selection of Belgian beers. The staff were very friendly, too.
Went there with my husband and mother - great place! Good service, we had the cheese portion (decent size and tasty) and beers. The menu has a lot of beers to chose from and the prices are reasonable. The place itself is very typical of Brussels and very cosy. Worth booking a table as it gets very busy. There appears... 更多
Within just a couple of minutes from the Museum Quarter, this place provides a great experience. The inside requires some time to wander around while you can taste some Belgian beers and food. We tasted the Belgian stew here which was great. What I need to highlight that the staff was incredibly helpful and they speak perfect English.
Stopped in here for lunch and a few beers during a layover. The flemish beef stew was fantastic. There was a good selection of beers and the service was very friendly. I ate in the back room, but moved to the front when the lunch crowd cleared out. That was one of the best parts of the place. It just... 更多
Don't be put of by the exterior - once inside you will receive a great welcome, wide range of beers, good traditional food offerings. Take time to read the history of the place and soak up the atmosphere. The rear of the bar has been updated but the real feel of the place is in the front part. Great host!
We were in the area of this cafe/pub when our greeter asked if we were ready to eat. As it was lunch time and pouring with rain it seemed like an eminently sensible suggestion! We sat and discussed the history of the cafe/pub and then chose our food. Our greeter was a regular and we joked they had put his... 更多
The place was a little bit far (seven-minute walk) from Grand Place, and the building next door was in the middle of renovation, but this place is really worth visiting. The list of beer is not that long, but the staff was very knowledgeable for visitors to enjoy what they want. I visited twice, and in the next visit, will... 更多
