I think this museum is the most underrated one in Rotterdam. It is a bit pricy, but by far the most beautiful one. The building is absolutely stunning and the care for the exhibitions is superb. Its never too busy and thats maybe why the staff is always so friendly. This museum is also interesting for older kids just because... 更多
What a amazing experience on a Saturday morning! Besides the normal collections we came to see the AFRIKA 010 collection. It exhibits top pieces as the source of inspiration for art, design, architecture, fashion, jewelry, and music from Africa. These items present a parade of impressions and "...an enrapturing visual experience such as statues and masks, largely hailing from a... 更多
Found this hidden gem of Rotterdam while walking back to my house after trip from Kinderdijk. Near to Waterbus stop and very beautiful museum at perfect location. Many amazing artifacts kept here and the special one is at the entrance of the museum. The statue of Lord Ganesha with the background of New Rotterdam is very beautiful and has amazing... 更多
Visited here to see the African exhibition, it is stunning. The power figures are amazing and costumes, headdresses and other artefacts a treat. You can listen to a commentaryear at various points throughost the exhibition - it's well worth taking advantage of this. The other exhibitions are just as exciting - the World of the Dalai Lama, the Light of... 更多

The eclecticism, instead of making it confusing, I think makes the... 更多
Today I went to the museum, I was greeted by very friendly and helpfull staff, the explained how the museum was laid out, that you need to start at the third floor and work your way down. At the moment they are busy with setting up an African exposition due to which I couldn't see the whole museum, in six... 更多
Certainly worth a visit, but too expensive for a small museum (unless you have a Dutch Museum card). They do have Westmalle Tripel in the cafe.
There's a lot of Musea in Rotterdam, but this one should probably be in your top 3 to visit at all times. Especially when you're also going for a fancy bite to eat.
If you are interested in ancient especially Asian cultures, this is the place for you. It's been a while that I've visited the permanent collection but just recently I checked out the special exhibit on the Persians and I loved it. Great setup and awesome artifacts. Plus, the museum offers extra activities on certain dates (check out the schedule on... 更多
