One of two remaining gates in the city's old walls (there used to be ~ a dozen), the Zijlpoort is in an interesting and less touristed part of town. Well worth the walk to see the small adjoining harbor, the gate's architecture, and the surrounding neighborhood.
If you fancy a walk along the unbeaten path, consider this asyour destination. The gate is still i use as one of the busiest cycle entrances to the city centre.
