Both my friend and I carried an "I amsterdam City Card". We did not plan to visit this museum originally, but coincidentally went into the museum. It turned out to be a very wonderful experience. The tour guide was very patient and professional, despite the fact that as non-smokers and foreigners, my friend and I might have asked stupid questions.... 更多
This little gem was a nice suprise on my latest trip to Amsterdam. I was visiting a museum nearby that closed at 5pm and since this place was minutes away, and included in the City card, I thought why not check it out. I expected another museum with an audio guide or a map but instead got a personal tour... 更多
This museum was surprisingly great! I was the only person in the museum at the time, so I got a private tour. The guide had a lot of information about the history and style of all of the pipes. While the museum itself is small, the selection is pretty incredible. If you have an extra half hour, it's definitely worth... 更多
We went to this museum because it was included on the Museumkaart. I am not a smoker, but decades ago, my husband smoked pipes. He has a small collection of very beautiful pipes, so he was curious about this museum. The collection is housed in a canal house, which was owned by the wealthy man who collected these pipes. The Pipe Museum is actually my favorite attraction in Amsterdam, we had absolutely lovely experience. If you just want to escape from all the main overcrowded tourist spots and still see something unique and interesting, this is a perfect place for you. Even though you might not be particularly interested in pipes, this little cozy museum is definitely worth visiting.... 更多
The lifetime's work of a collector in an elegant museum plus a very interesting shop, if you are a pipe smoker pay a visit, you will remember it for a long time if not forever. Thank you Amsterdam Pipe Museum. Bettina and Christos from Athens, Greece.
Impressive collection of pipes, some dating from 500 BC, very knowledged guide (Benedict), learned tons of staff about tobacco, pipes and world history. The shop is another must visit, very friendly and helpful staff (Don), ready to show and instruct. Over 3.000 pipes to choose from. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Definitely worth another visit when we revisit Amsterdam.
