Today it hit 28C. So meandering around the Saturday market was very pleasant indeed. However in December for example when the temperatures are 4C, it is a different matter. Regardless it is a chill out type place, less congested than the Albert Cuyt Market in De Pijp.

This Saturday market is held in a little square near a church. There are lots of bakery goods, cheeses, fruit and vegetables and some clothes and bric-a-brac. The fruit and vegetables are very fresh and there is a large variety of breads and cakes. A good place to stock up for the week. Some goods seemed over-priced to me.
We have been to the Noordermarkt, right outside of the Noorderkerk, many times. This year was the first time the church was open. There was a church group selling coffee inside.
