We took the 100 highlights tour. A pre-recorded audio guide through headphones gave a basic amount of historical information. Probably a must do if you are here.
This hour-long canal cruise was just what we needed after hours of walking in Amsterdam. We took the 5 o'clock boat, which was the last of the night, and they were prompt, if not early, in leaving. Each person gets a headset to plug into a pre-recorded soundtrack. There must have been 20 languages to choose from!! They also sold... 更多
The one hour canal tour was very interesting and gave a good overview of the city. I was fortunate enough (though unplanned) to take a late evening tour so that I got to see much of the city while it was still light but also towards the end, all lit up
These tours run about every 15 minutes and last about an hour. Audio headphones give you information about the sights, It had little charm, but the price was good. They don't have a snack bar or a bathroom. You can take a drink along if you choose.
I took 2 cruises with Gray Line. One was a small open boat guided tour that was 1.5 hours. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the city. I highly recommend this over using an audio tour. The second cruise was the evening pizza cruise. It's great value for money because all drinks are included in the price.... 更多
We joined a boat trip advertised as 1 hour around the canals. It turned out to be 45 minutes, followed by 10 minutes trying to get moored again as all the mooring bays were full. In fact we were glad it was less than 1 hour as we were very happy to get out of the cramped, hot plastic/leatherette seats.... 更多
Audio commentary in multiple languages helped. Tour was about 1 hour - a pleasant way to see more of Amsterdam from a different perspective. It helper me that we had already walked through much of the centre to understand the geography.
Took the Grey Line Canal cruise which was a great way to orient ourselves to the City Centre Audio is available and there is allbeit a tight washroom on board. The cruise is about an hour in length.
We normally book a hop on/hop off bus tour on our first day in a city we aren't familiar with but this time we did a canal cruise. The commentary was available in several different languages. The cruise lasted about an hour and gave us a glimpse of several different highlights in Amsterdam.
