My husband and I went, on a very hot and sunny afternoon. Although it's probably more of a children's park, the information was well laid out in Dutch and English. We learend a lot. FOLLOW THE MAP, LOL, we got lost but found our way back on track thanks to the map. It's only a 20 minute walk from the... 更多
The place is simply fun to be in, with excellent reconstructions and examples from recent history till the time of hunters and gatherers. A balanced combination of history, engineering, and nature. Almost everything is in both Dutch and English - extremely useful for tourists.
Very well preserved, with lots of charm. shows how people lived in Holland around 1200-1400. also gives the kids the ability to try some old style crafts and tools. my wife and i and all our kids (6-12) had lots of fun.
Get a glimpse of life in Eindhoven in Medieval times at the Eindhoven Museum. Like many interpretive attractions, the interactive activities and the staff make or break these types of excursions. On the day we were there, the staff was quite good. It's not a place where everyone is always on script, which can be refreshing. The kids can participate... 更多
Museum is open air and is targeted for families. Local children love it. Expositions change so don't expect you will see the same things. There is lot of master classes around. Topics depend on exposition. Usually every day there is some special activity for children. Don't miss this opportunity. Last time it was some performance around vikings... and then option... 更多
This is a rebuild of old houses like 7000 years ago. You walk through the village and it will keep you busy for an hour. It has it's own restaurant with drinks and hot/cold food. There is a scheduling and every 1 hour there is an activity like throwing arrows or around the village tour with guide. It has its... 更多
It is a good place to visit with family ( with kids in any range), friends, or by yourself. There is a mini-farm, where you can see cows, pigs, chickens, cheese production, farming of some plants. Here is a shop offering organic vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs and milk products. Personally, I enjoy a lot of feeding hens. It is never... 更多
We spent a good few hours in Eindhoven Museum. (it was the 2nd attempt as we thought we could walk from Eindhoven centre which you can't) Eindhoven museum is out of town at the very bottom of the large park. There is loads of practical things to do. Traditional games, traditional buildings and authentic characters. Making clay amulets was fun,... 更多
I visited it last summer, it happened to be the public open day, no entrance fee and a lot of public activities that day, so lucky! People dressed up like in ancient time and showed the old way of living. I played sword there, a lot of fun! Before you go, check their website about arranged activities.
The museum is mainly outdoor, so you might have to reconsider if it was bad weather day. Overall, there were not many things to see but you can participate in various activities such as dig up clays, make your own pottery, write things with feather pens...etc. I especially liked the chainmail suit even though it was heavy to put on... 更多
