Though less well known than its neighbour, the notorious Eiger, I find the Wetterhorn is a much more beautiful site. It's north wall, though not as high, appears steeper and that the broken skyline lets the sun stroke it's face, allows one a better view. They are both great.
A chance to walk in the mountains and enjoy solitude with stunning views along the way. Lovely restaurant/café at the road with lots of car parking. Play area for kids and paddling in the very cold river. Lots of walking all around with the Postbus stopping to take folks back to Grindelwald.
