This is not something you need to go out of your way to see, but if you have time, or are out for a walk or run, it's a great place to visit. The view of Siena is nice, there are trees on top of the walls which is neat, and there is even some exercise equipment that is on... 更多
A great place to visit and appreciate gorgeous views of Siena, its free to enter and makes for a very pleasant walk. Its close to the bus station so we visited before catching our bus back to Florence, a great way to end the day and to say goodbye to Siena.
If you have time, it is a nice little walk around the Fortress walls. It offers good views of the city and it is quite lovely in itself.
We walked to this fortress towards the end of our day in Siena. It is easy to access and is free to walk in. It is set in a park and is an easy walk up ramps to the walls, where there are far reaching views over the town and surrounding countryside. A good way to end the visit.
This castle is very large and all the walls are excellent condition. It is easily accessible and has easy access to the walls. It is a hard surface with only a few easy steps to negotiate. The views are terrific and very photogenic. It is quite a large castle but for some reason appears to be bigger on the outside... 更多
Great to just stroll around and see the city of Siena below. Shady,Tree lined and seating available A break from the mass of tourists heading for more popular locations It is also free

The fortress is situated on the Viale V Veneto on the West side of Siena so it's just outside the main tourists spots and is probably why you can see a lot of locals jogging around the fortress walls away from... 更多
Lovely views over the city (including the Duomo and Tower of course). Nice and quiet. Lots of shady spots with some seats and grassy patches to relax. This is where you need to head after a hectic touristy day in the centro.
