First time visit to Florence and looking for somewhere to cool down.Came across the garden and was able to buy a guide book which pointed out the ancient trees etc.Enjoyed my visit relaxing on stone bench as sun going down. Unfortunately needs some tlc. Could be an oasis for visitors who want to discover ancient plants with histor.y

The University of Florence Natural History Museum is an interesting pace to visit. Lots of samples of mineralogical items and great educational material on geology and paleontology. Well worth a visit

There are a big collection about more as 25.000 of mineralogical pieces of all the world; and Cosimo I begins with this collection; a very inreresting collection of about 5000 presentations of Elba and extraordinary Gemstones, a Topaze of Brasil of 150 kg and also many Turmaline of Elba. Very of interess the Geology & Paleontology section. If you have,... 更多

First of all, I state that the following review concerns only the "Geology and Paleontology" (Via La Pira, 4), not the other sections of the Natural Histoy Museum, which are scattered in various buildings of the city. The "Geology and Anthropology" section shows in my opinion some serious flaws. First of all, of geology items really very little is on... 更多

They have a phenomenal collection of taxidermies throughout the museum, some are over 200 years old! Wide variety of every creature you can think of, big and small. Really quite breathtaking, every room is filled with all kinds of creatures and many are extinct so their antiquated collection is really something. The wax anatomy rooms are really impressive, if you... 更多

This is a museum of the past and should be preserved as such. Few visitors, fewer staff. Dusty cases of poor taxidermy in terrible flourescent lighting. No interactive screens and little annotation - non in English. It reminded me of a trip to Soviet Russian museums in the early 1980s. The museum is less of a museum of natural history... 更多

Full of fascinating things even though some rooms were closed when we were visited. Lovely building and a sense of history added to the old animals and displays. Really worth digging out on a day in Florence, especially for kids but enjoyable for all!

As my fellow reviewer Clare advises, walk past the Pitti Palace & about before you arrive at the gates to the mighty Boboli Gardens there's what looks a bit like one of those intriguing entrances to a private palazzo...but whilst it certainly LOOKS like it> it is far from it. Here there's something for everyone's taste & interest! You must... 更多

Marvelous museum, jammed full of interesting exhibits. The incredibly life like wax creations for the education of medical students are unbelievable and tell a fascinating history of medical education. Worth a visit!!!!

在圣马可的住宿

周围地区详细资料
圣马可
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
