We came across this Beautiful Church while strolling about in Taormina. The church partially sits on top of the Roman theatre ruins located directly behind it. Quite plain on the outside, it is also very simple on the inside. The baroque Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria, built in the first half of 1600, stands on the ruins of a temple greek temple. This is the first church you see as soon as you go inside the Archway leading into Taormina. It's a quaint little church especially from inside.
Another fine church on the main walking district. It is always wonderful to see these church's with their local personalities.
