The cathedral has very interesting history. It's an old temple that has been turned to a cathedral. Temple pillars can still be seen especially inside of the cathedral. You can really feel the history inside the building.

Impresive Cathedral build on the structure and columns of and old Greek Temple. Impresive walls and central part of the building. Beautiful Chapels on the right side of the Cathedral. Located in a central Square in the old City of Syracuse with plenty of monuments to visit in the sorroundings.
I am not a great church person but this was very impressive from an architectural point of view and well worth a look. Did not attempt the interior.
