Much of the museum was closed for renovation for our visit (it should have reopened in 2013) but there was a free and fascinating display on the history of food in Palermo from prehistoric times to the time of the Normans with detailed descriptions in English. I first went this museum several years ago and it has been shut since, its denying people to see the beautiful artifacts that complete the story of this island. It maintains an online presence but no information on when it will open, surprisingly online it seems to be impossible to find information about the museum re opening. I hope the... 更多

Located only 2 Blocks from Massimo in a lovely Piazza. The building has been beautifully restored. It traces the history of mankind in the Palermo Area. Beautiful Statues and exhibits that detail the evolution of food and wine in Palermo. Do not miss!
