By this portal you enter to the famous piazza Bra; a famous portal, ther are many of this in Verona, but this one is particulary nice in the heart of Verona; you will find many parkings around; it's a reference point in the city, for a nice visit.
It is the gateway to the Arena and the old town. Good "time stamp" for your pictures when you entered Verona through this gate due to the watch in the middle. However it is nothing to go out of your way in case you don't want to.
