Teatro Romano went up in the 1st century AD, before Verona's Roman arena, in a bank above the Adige River's eastern side. Throughout the centuries, however, the theatre fell into ruin and didn't become an archaeological site until the 19th century. Today, a partial reconstruction gives a glimpse into how the theatre once appeared and music shows take place here... 更多
I would by all means make it a point to see an opera in this venue, you will not be disappointed. The staging and scenery were quite the spectacle,
We didn't realize how large the museum was. It is really impressive. You can visit before or after the amphitheater. The grounds around the amphitheater are full of beautiful stones. You can spend as much time as you can stand! Inside, the museum is very interesting. There are many items unlike other roman sites, which was welcomed-such as mummy parts... 更多
From what we saw in the museum it is hard to tell how much of this theatre is original and how much restored or just remade. It has a good position on the riverside and the old building that houses the museum is interesting in itself. The almost brand new museum has explanations in English as well as Italian but... 更多
Roman theater and museum, are really interesting to visit. If you want to understand it all, then you definitely should visit museum and read your leaflet very carefully.
Unfortunately, the place was not open to the general public, but the view of all Verona is incredible. It´s not easy to arrive in the top..but even after a full day walking through Verona, climb soooo many stairs..when you arrive at the top and see the best sunset ever and some minutes after, you see the best supermoon ever...what to... 更多
Although it was a cloudy day, it was quite an experience to climb the steps up to the Teatro Romano. The views over the city were stunning.
The museum has been redone and while small, has interesting exhibits. However, to get to the museum, you must walk up the theater steps, which have no railings, to take the elevator. No recommended for some older visitors. Terrific view of the city from the museum.
This is a fantastic sight to see. We spent a couple of hours looking around the site - its not expensive to get into. They have a great museum at the top which is situated in an old convent. Loads of history and amazing views again.
