the beach in Malamoco is quiet and nice, excellent for long walks/runs on the damm and swimming.
from Malamoco it's easy (1.5 E and 15 mins) to take the bus to the Lido beach or the boat terminal to go to Venice.
This village, and that of Pellestrina, are quite charming. Relatively unspoiled with little canals and campielli, with the laguna on one side and the Adriatic on the other. It easily reached by frequent bus from the Lido. A great place for a stroll and to have lunch in one of the few fish restaurants or osterie.
After many years, we finally made it to Malamocco.
It's charming, colourful and with a completely different atmosphere than the lively Gran Viale. It 's a bit like Burano, with fewer tourists - none, in fact - and less colours.
A very nice place indeed!
We have been happily surprised by Malamocco. The first impression is of a village in the middle of nowhere in the Lido di Venezia island. But then, as you walk around, you discover an authentic venetian island village, with a renaissance underway. If you are in Lido, well worth visiting to have a meal a d e joy history here.
