We were staying in Venice for a week and decided to get the train to Treviso. It was a brilliant day. We liked everything about the place and especially the walk around the city walls. There were rabbits, ducks, geese and loads of fish. It was unexpected and absolutely beautiful
These defensive walls encircle the city of Treviso and you can walk on quite a long stretch of the northern ramparts for more than a kilometre. They make for a very pleasant stroll in the evening and food festivals are held on them in the summer months. There is a summer bar on the section of the wall not far... 更多
This is a lovely walk, partly on the historical walls and partly along tree lined paths along the side of the river. There are moats and an island with swans, ducks, rabbits and chickens. Lovely weeping willows, very picturesque.Perfect for a relaxing stroll and chat.
Treviso is a beautiful medieval city, it takes 30 minutes to come from Venice by train. There are swans and ducks swimming in the lake, small children will find it amusing. It was silent and peaceful. I recommend this place to nature lovers, families, and everyone who is planning a visit to Treviso.

Start your walk and enjoy the beautiful churches, little squares, arched streets and find your way along the four legged river to the city walls. From above you have a nice view. Cold day but never to cold to have fun along the walls of Treviso. Bunny's and cocks to accompany as well. And of course marmots in the moat :)
Take time in the early evening or late afternoon to walk along the wall. It is beautiful and well maintained. There is a real sense of peace here.
We walked all around the city and reached this raised wall, there is a slope up at one end at least... we walked half way and then down some steps. This is a wide walkway, view of the city on one side, and over the wall you see two moats, and in between what must be a rabbit sanctuary on... 更多
Nice wall and a nice river around it. There was a festival on the wall when we visited and it had a lot of little food- and drink stands, there were bands playing and a market , all on the wall. We visited 1-2 August.
