Nice lake side resort village. Not large. Takes about a couple of hours to explore. A nice lake front walk. Nice boulevards. A few shops, some restaurants. Many tourists.
This is a very busy town in the heart of lake como. Its a great location with lots to see and do. Have now been here lots of times and always seems to attract everyone. When you get away from the tourist parts its very lovely. This is one of the most busy and tourist places in the area but... 更多
Menaggio is the least touristy town in the center of the Lake. Hotels and restaurants are still expensive, but less expensive. Shuttles and ferries (to Varenna, Bellagio and Como) are frequent, convenient, and cheap. Buses for a day trip to Lugano are easy. Bus, taxi, or shuttle to Villa Carlotta. Sleep here, eat dinner here, visit everywhere else.
This is a beautiful little village easily accessed from Milan by taking an hour long train ride to Varenna and then a ferry across the lake. It is not flooded with tourists like Bellagio and the lungolargo (lakeside) is not on the main road. It's a good central spot for visits to other places and if you are hiker, there... 更多
Lovely smaller venue for a stop off. Lots of small bars and hotels for food, snacks and drinks. Parking the car is not a problem. Main stop for the ferry services and buses. Lovely pace to visit, one of the gems on the lake. Much slower pace than Bellagio, however still worth a visit. We loved it...
This is a lovely quiet town on the shores of Lake Como. Well connected with bus and ferry services. Beautiful views across the lake and nice piazza with bars and restaurants. Good for the morning sun.
Beautiful park ideal for relaxing. And the views can't be beat. But Varenna, Belaggio and Tremezzo have better restaurants and much better shopping experiences.
I came for a day trip intending to amble along the front and then climb one of the hills overlooking the town. The front was very pleasant - as are all Lake Como's villages but nothing special. Trying to reach a hill top church or look out both of which could be seen proved a different matter as in the... 更多
We visited in May 2014 and it was nothing super exciting, spend about 1 hr walking the streets, get a gelato and cross back over to Vernazza or Bellagio where you can see more action.
We stayed in Varenna and did 3 different walks, two out of Menaggio. Day 1 - ferry to Menaggio. Walked south down to Cadenabbia where we picked up the Como Di Lago walk. Continued on to Lenno and then took the ferry back to Varenna. A nice walk with combination of roads and paths. Easy going. Took about 5 hours... 更多
