This is a big fortress from the middle age. There are a lot to see, but the most interesting and nice is the view on the city from its walls. Don't miss the cathedral!
Certainly having some of the best views of the city from its walls, I was very surprised to find some interesting artefacts on display after descending down a steep underground staircase. The cafe area has a fabulous seating area outside where you can sit in the sun and look over the city. There's also interesting models, an armoury, and the... 更多
Realy hard to find by car, becouse of lot of one way street around, but worth the effort. Place of great energy, glittering panoramic view, this castle practically owns gulf ofTrieste. Nice way to feel contact with the ancestors in the late afternoon, before the night out.
A great big medieval fortress. It comes with various artefacts in it. A great view from the top. You can also buy food and drinks from a pretty good cafe there. It is worth exploring
This castle is on the highest hill of the city and offers amazing panoramic views, if you can make it up the steep roads! A big, empty and much-altered fortress on (unsurprisingly) the summit of the highest hill in the city. Worth it for the view from the ramparts, which is undeniably impressive. Combine it withe a trip to the adjacent Duomo, which is rather more interesting. The walk up the hill is pretty steep, but there is a city bus. Go by bus,... 更多
I note some people talk of a hike up to the castle -it is not that steep or arduous - suitable for most at an easy pace. You take the steps and avoid the road. Quite an atmospheric area and of course steeped in history. Lovely views
We are keen photographers so this was a must for us to visit. The view over Trieste is very good, the castle okay not outstanding but a nice place to visit.
