I walked all the way back to town after visiting the Miramare castle along the coast, Really nice views out over the Gulf. At times it was a little windy, but still worth it. Remarkably clear water given the proximity to a larger city. Popular route with local cyclists and runners.
We were pleased to catch a boat ride from the Harbour of Trieste and travel to Muggio early October 2016 on our day visit to Trieste from Slovenia. I highly recommend any boating adventure you may want to plan to see the sights of Trieste. So relaxing and peaceful and typical of Wonderful Italy.
Trieste is on the Adriatic Sea and the Golfo di Trieste is at the foot of the city. It is always full of sail and motor boats. Triestians love the sea!

This is a spot which you can admire of any place of the shore. It is even interesting, that on the shore there are a lot of sunbathing, swimming people.
Beautiful with almost every atmospheric condition. If the wind is calm it can become a beautiful flat mirror while when the bora arrives it can become a boiling pot. The best way to enjoy it is by resting on the molo audace while waiting for the sunset.
