You have access to it by both ends: from Opicina with the Tram di Opicina or bus and: from the village Prosecco that you can reach with a Bus from down town! In Prosecco many good fish restaurants!
This was a very attractive drive in the car. I would recommend this. Cyclists can make passing other vehicles a bit trick but its ok.
Being very close to the city and easily accessible, it is the best hike if there is no time to reach the carso. It has much to offer: a beautiful view of the city below and the gulf of Trieste, a nice and easy walk surrounded by nature and cliffs perfect for climbers.
Tram ride from Piazza Oberdan. Get off at Obelisco and walk along the Via Napoleonica as it is know locally. This is so worth the views. It is flat and a completely maintained path. Fabulous views over Trieste and a 6 kilometers (or thereabouts not quite sure as it did not feel difficult at all) you arrive in Prosecco and... 更多
Starting from Opicina, this is a great, easy and famous walk. 4 km till Prosecco, you can decide whether to climb up on the 'Formaggino' aka Monte Grisa sanctuary. Enjoy the beautiful landscape on the sea and watch people climbing on the cliffs at the end of the path. To do!
It's a 5 km walk with beautiful scenery for almost the whole walk. There are places to rest with benches along the way. It's advisable to take the tram either going up or coming down (at least one way) which gives beautiful views down below. We were not so lucky since it was a hazy day.
Nicely marked, easy walking trail with an amazing view of the sea! There isn't many parking spots at the beginning of the trail, so probably best to take the tram up to the start.
Perfect for a sunday walk to enjoy nature and landscape. Good for children too. It is better to go in a sunny day in order to appreciate the landscape. Remember that it is a long way..
Nice scenic road on the outskirts of Trieste. A 7 or 8 km long path from Opicina to Prosecco with spectacular views on the city of trieste and Adriatic Sea. On nice days you will meet plenty of people walking this path and enjoying nature. The only lowside of this path is lack of parking spaces at it's start.
