I went to Trieste from Grado by boat where i was on holiday it takes 1 and half hour, return ticket cost 10.65 euros, very good price. Trieste is very nice city with lots of shops
Trieste is a beautiful city that seems to be still fairly hidden from the big crowds. Just across the bay from Venice, it has so much to offer on so many levels but has seemingly (luckily) escaped the crowds of Venice.Trieste is so easily reached by train from Venice. The public transport is well managed and extensive. architechture of Trieste will... 更多
Trieste is a city situated in North-East part of industrial Italy. It is frontier to Slovenia and near Croatia (20km). The main street and square are near the sea and give a beautiful vision towards the bay and the coast. The city is surrounded by small hills and is a rare combination of sea and mountain. Shoping is one of... 更多
Trieste is like no other city in Italy. The beautifully French inspired buildings and with everything looking white and gold its like something out of a fairy story. The large square on the harbour is a good place to start and work back to. Start by walking to the left of the square when facing the square from the sea,... 更多
We drove to Trieste and were going to use the car to see the sights. Instead we parked the car at the hotel for 3 days and used the public transport system. We purchased a "day bus pass" for a few Euros and could travel all day on the public buses. From outside of our hotel we caught the No.... 更多
There was so much to see in this wonderful City. Lovely to get out and walk around to see so many things. The buildings are beautiful and the detail was magnificent. Lots of shops also.
Triest is a big city although the area atvthe sea, close to the marina and cruise ship terminal is very beautiful and invites to a nice stroll and visiting one of the very traditional cafes and restaurants!
Checked 'in your pocket' schedule for the Hop on Hop Off Bus. Checked their website too. Looked like very accurate information. Very precise times and locations. Indicated from March to October. It's nearing the end of September. We waited at designated stop # 1 at the designated time and the bus never came. Not sure why but was very disappointed.
Went to visit this city with a tour group and really enjoyed it. Beautiful buildings in Piazza Unita and marina. Lots of shops if u want to have a look and lots of nice icecream palours that even do gluten free icecream (Groom)seen victory lighthouse and Miramare castle. Grounds and Castle are lovely. View is amazing
It's a pleasant city but beware the very old steel factory and coke works just behind the center of town in the suburbs pumping out tonnes of cancerous producing particles. Will never visit Trieste again. It's an environmental disaster. Shame on the council and residents.
