I decided to go to the Museo Ebraico on a Monday, when most of the other museums in town were closed. It is tucked away but with Google Maps, I was able to find it with no issue. When I first rang the bell at the gates, no one responded but a minute later, I tried again and the security... 更多
sorry to say but it really is hard to find, we were stayingright near and had been walking past it without knowing! When we arrived, the security guards pointed us towards a building where there were lots of people - turned out to be their gallery and there was a book launch going on - we wandered around for 15... 更多
there is a community of some 1500 Jews in Bologna, but only some 200 are practicing. the museum provides a good insight into the life and history of this community, mainly from Spanish origin, when Queen Isabela started persecuting and evicting them there. an activity for the second rainy day in Bologna.
A museum located in the former Jewish Ghetto. It covers in detail the Jewish history of Bologna. High tech sound system to enable visitors to have explanations in their own languages, pity it was temperamental on our visit. Well worth the visit
This museum's got great material, if you understand Italian adn/or are very patient. We didn't expect much, and got a light visit out of it, it is a good attempt at organising, but could be modernised, definitely.
This museum is situated in the formar ghetto quarter. It is not easy to find. You get an overall impressino how the jews were living in Bologna.
This museum was not particularly accommodating of tourists, which was a shame. It was clear that there was a lot of information provided in the small space but unfortunately, none of the exhibitions had English captions. The audio guide seemed to run on a bluetooth headset which crackled and lost signal the whole time and again, only 3 films had... 更多
Hard to find and disappointing. Nothing special about the museum. The history of the Jews of Bologna was in two small galleries with very little English explanations. The audio system needs an upgrade.
The museum is a perfect place to get a better insight into the history of Jews living in Bologna and Italy. It provided us with sufficient amount of information both in English and Italian. Four films included in the exhibition definitely helped us understand the history of Jews and its influence on the city. Very good museum worth its price.
