We made a long drive over the mountains specifically to see this world class art museum, and specifically the works of Piero Della Francesco. The prize piece, the Flagellation of Christ, is amazing in its construction, and it's challenge for interpretation. I get it. It's a masterpiece. For me the haunting eyes of the Christ child, in the Presentation, are... 更多
Loved this visit and in particular the works of Piero del Francesco. I expected more works by Rafaello but there were many other interestings works to see. Nice little coffeeshop in the beautiful courtyard.
A vast collection of religious works, Rafael's Mute and Nude that shocked the people of the time but admired by a pope. Tapestries, St George and the dragon and exquisite marquetry room
Of this huge palace, only a limited number of rooms are visible. They are nevertheless impressive. The picture gallery is stunning, with some of the most celebrated Italian artists being represented, first and foremost Raphael. Look for the unmissable and unforgettable Duke's studio, with breath-taking wood inlay masterpieces.
Very well mantained and displayed artwork, though it can be wearisome to attempt to navigate these rooms on your own. Also, without a guide one misses all the tears and joy associated with a rich period in Latin history.
My previous review of the ducal palace really included this national gallery of Marche. The actual palace is free entry at least on ground floor, but the next two levels hold the collection and the room decorations and is ticket entry. Extremely impressive place, especially the room decorations and enough paintings of note to make thoroughly informative and enjoyable visit.... 更多
Nice collection of artworks from the renaissance through to the 19th century It is situated in the heart of Urbino. It could be difficult with people who have mobility problems.
An enormous and wonderful building filled with works of art. Not to be missed if you visit Urbino. I especially liked the huge variety of Madonna and child paintings. But the building was just as wonderful as the pictures.
The old paintings in here are amazing. It is definitely worth a visit - especially on a rainy day. The palace itself is also worth walking round. There is also some fabulous inlaid wood.
