The splendour of this church is well worth a detour. Everywhere you look has something eye-catching. There are a number of different chapels to explore.

The ruins beneath the church are a must see. Preserved like your walking down an old Street are remnants of a Roman market which are very fascinating. There is even a 2000-year-old domed brick oven that has been recently used by one of the local pizzerias to reproduce pizza. It still works! But worth the few dollars to get in.... 更多
We entered through the side entrance up the stairs after noticing the church from the square that we were at. Indoors, the beautiful columns, ceiling, chandeliers and spectacular decorative stained glass took our breath away. It's definitely a magnificently decorated church and worth a visit if you are in the area.
