...they have the original gyms built in their country for thousands of years! Great to get away from the yacht and spa crowds of Capri for a hike. Goats at the entrance of Jovis of varying heirloom breeds, small & unique! Hikes like this are an awesome workout for your body as well as the mind, all the pondering- how... 更多
We did a hike to Villa Jovis & Villa Lysis. Villa Jovis is the villa of Tiberius and is quite interesting. It would have been great if there was a tour guide on site for a quick 20 minute introduction. I'm not sure I could fully appreciate what I saw. The views from the villa are stunning and to get... 更多
If you are coming to Capri, you should make it a point to visit Villa Jovis. It has a little bit of everything. The views are spectacular and you can truly see for milesssss. I love history so getting a peak into Roman life is something that is really cool to me. The only possible downside is it is a... 更多

This is mostly a slow gradual climb up to the ruins with only a couple short sections which are a little steeper. Some beautiful scenery, houses, and gardens particularly towards the end when most of the houses have extensive garden areas. You also get very good views of both sides of the island. At the ruins, you get great views... 更多
great experience for 1/2 of a day walk. It did not have any brochures or explanations of what you were seeing, nor much history. Still worth the hike.
We took the nature trail walk from downtown Capri all way to Jovis and then back to Marina Grande. It took us about 5 hours with stops for resting, eating and taking pictures. Villa Jovis was actually Emperor Tiberius' villa where he spent a decade or so. The place closes at 4:30 pm, but it doesn't really close as the... 更多
