Getting to Villa Jovis will cost you a 45-60 minutes walk (dependes how fit you are) from the centre of the town of Capri. Most of it is uphill but once you reach the villa you will feel really "satisfied". Villa Jovis was the largest and most sumptuous of Emperor Tiberius' several villas on the island of Capri. The ruins... 更多
Just spent 2 nights in Capri. Had a super time, despite many hotels and shops closed up for the winter. The woman in the information office below the clock in the piazza was hopeless. She had no maps in English and no information on walks. Luckily we worked it out for ourselves. Great walk out to Villa Jovis, it was... 更多
The walk allows interesting glimpses into private properties along the way and culminates in a rather nice ruin with fine views. I recall it was a three-hour round trip from our base in the Villa Hotel Brunella on Via Tregara, taken at a relatively moderate pace.

We enjoyed the walk to villa Jovis along the narrow pedestrian paths which were pleasant and relatively quiet. The view is great at... 更多
Visited villa today and enjoyed the 45 min walk along narrow path uphill with some views however was met at entrance by a disinterested Italian attendant and a sign for 4 euros each- were surprised as all guidebooks had suggested 2 euros! Suspect this was a side line - be careful and challenge. The ruins had a good location but... 更多

This took us through some very delightful narrow streets and then outwards and upwards, and upwards – actually it wasn’t that bad and we stopped often for the... 更多
This place is a bit tired and staffed by bored teenagers. Not much information on site. Views good. Very busy but a long walk uphill.
We enjoyed the 40 minute walk out to Villa Jovis but would warn people that a good portion of it is uphill (mostly inclines not steps). We paid to go int ruins so that we could get the full view of the island and it was worth the 2€. Fantastic views of the Faraglione as well as the Sorrentine Peninsula... 更多
