Took the bus on the mountain route which took you up to massa lubrense and Santa Agatha.beautiful scenery. 2hrs between each stop which suited us fine.plenty to do at each stop and the ride back to Sorrento was beautiful. Cost €25 for two and got tickets outside train station where it starts
We used this coach trip 2 days ago. Getting on the bus at Sorrento was ridiculous with everyone fighting to get on first. Why can't the representatives selling the tickets sell them numbered so first come gets on first ? Or they keep a list and stand in the doorway ? Too easy ? Anyway...apart from that the trips were... 更多
We used the City Sightseeing red bus to visit Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello from Sorrento in the same day. We decided to do it this way so that it would be less expensive than hiring a driver, and less hectic than taking the public Sita bus. Use their website to plan ahead, and give yourself the time you need at... 更多
There are several options with the City Sightseeing buses on the Amalfi Coast. Yes, they are more expensive that the Sita bus, but you have a seat, instead of standing on the latter or, worse yet, not getting on the Sita bus from Amalfi or Positano, because they are overcrowded. Of particular note: the "Discovering Two Bays" tour on the... 更多
Walk to the main train station in Sorrento and you'll see bus stops for SITA and City Sightseeing. City Sightseeing bus is a lot more expensive than SITA (eg €10 single as oppose to €2.70), but City Sightseeing has better windows for views, comfy seats, has wifi, and audio guide for info along the way. I also think they do... 更多
This trip was a high point of our vacation. Took the bus from Sorrento to Amalfi. Chose not to get off in Positano. Narrative was informative and drive was beautiful. Spent three hours in Amalfi. We shopped, had lunch, and people watched. Total cost 32 euros for both of us. Highly recommend.
Beware the big red city sightseeing buses advertise "hop on hop off". They are not. On the Sorrento, Positano and onwards trip you pay for each leg of the journey if you "hop off". This can become a very expensive trip.
Dear TheGnashers, about City Sightseeing tours you can choose between: • Discovering the two Bays : departing from Sorrento, the... 更多
We rented a car to drive the coast but we decided to take the bus tour first to scope out the area and we're glad we did. The buses were clean and they stopped in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. There are cheaper city buses but the lines are long and the people are aggressive when boarding because they fill up... 更多
Bought tickets at the Circumvesuviana train station in Sorrento in the morning but due to the demand the next available bus to Amalfi was 1.15pm so should have pre-booked this but due to a cancellation of another previously booked tour- Capri due to bad weather conditions/storms the previous night were lucky to get a ticket. This is truly a magnificent... 更多
We did the Amalfi coast by big red bus (but note: this particular route is not really hop on hop off) and it was an excellent comfortable and cost effective way to see the area. We ensured we sat on the right of the bus on the way out, so we had fantastic views as the bus driver miraculously wended... 更多
