Not as big as the Torre dels Serrano, but also not as busy. So you get time to linger and marvel at the structure. There are still 'pock is' on the outer walls from invaders pummelling the gates with who knows what. Very cool. A must see for Game of a Thrones fans.
This is such a beautiful tower to see. The views from the top are amazing too. I just wish there was some sort of information at points around the tower or a brochure or something as we were just guessing what things were! Lots of stairs but they let us leave our pram in the reception/small museum downstairs, just need... 更多
Free on Sunday. climb to the top and see the city and park. Just a short walk 5 minutes from Plaza de la Reina. Skip this if you have a fear of heights
there isn't much to see or do. You have a look at the gate, that's pretty much it! The best view of the 'front' of the gate is on a busy street so if you want to photography it, you have to time it just right because of the traffic. The 'back' side of the gate looks to have been... 更多
this is one part of the old perimeter which is still standing and in excellent condition Parts of the old town walls and towers are open for the public to climb
The Torres de Quart (Quart Towers) are a must visit to understand the medieval history of Valencia. The towers themselves may look empty, but the views from above are pretty enough to go up.
Again, another town gate preserved from middle ages, towers still bear the traces of the cannon balls. Past them, you are into the older part of town and lovely old streets and cafees to visit. Note the drawings of black cats at the bottom of random buildings in Valencia, not sure why but great to see.
This late Gothic style gate w/ two towers, built between 1441-60, was part of the old Christian city wall and is situated in the northwestern part of the historical center of Valencia. It's one of the two tower gates that survived the demolition of the entire wall in 1865. Over the years the place has been used as a prison... 更多
We stayed a few blocks from this entrance into the old part of the city. After several days of walking through it, we decided to go up the tower and were very happy we did. It doesn't take a lot of time and got great view of the city and surrounding landscape.
To visit this tower is just 2 €. This was an access point to the old city. There are lots of steps and they are not easy. There is cannon damage on the outside which was caused by Napoleon! Hence it has not been restored. The views from the top are good and worth the climb. It is worth a... 更多
