A 92 metre ride in an outside lift is an experience. Once at the observation platform you get marvellous views over the city and to the distant mountains. The deck has guides to the sights on view. This is well worth €3 of anyone’s money [€1.5 concessionary]. Judging by the lack of crowds it hasn’t yet been ‘discovered’ by most... 更多
Located very close to the Museum of Americas the Faro de Moncloa offers great views over Madrid. Make sure to stand by the glass wall of the elevator whilst ascending or descending.
The Faro de Moncloa reopened last year after being closed for a decade and it is now a must visit place. It is excellent and inexpensive to get a panoramic view of Madrid with detailed explenations of all the highriase buildings . A must visit place.
We came across this lookout tower by chance...it had been closed for a couple of years, and because of this is not mentioned in any of the guide books or tourist leaflets. It's a real gem though. Costs only a few Euros to ascend, and the views over Madrid and to the mountains beyond are superb. It is a good... 更多
This didn't rank high on TA's things-to-do-in-Madrid so it wasn't on our itinerary, but we noticed it in the distance and were curious so we just hiked over and took a look. It cost EUR 3 to enter and offers a fantastic view of Madrid. I would definitely recommend walking over on a clear day.
We were lucky it was a clear sunny Spring day. It's very reasonable to go up, about €2.48 and the views are stunning. The mountains in the distance were topped with snow and you can see all the major monuments. There's an explanation in Spanish and English. About half an hour is enough but well worth the visit.
The Faro de Moncloa observation deck, 92 metres high, has huge glass windows. All of Madrid, up to 100 km away on a clear day, whole series of monuments stretches out in front of you. We could see the Royal Palace and the University of Madrid directly below us, La Almudena Cathedral, the Telefónica building on Gran Vía, the Cuatro... 更多
This is worth a visit if you live in Madrid but might be a little out of the way if you are only there for a short break. It was a little hard to find when driving there - odd when you consider it is 100m high. It might be easier if you put Museo de America in the Satnav... 更多
€3 to go up (€1.50 for kids), so not bad really. Great views of the city and gives you an understanding of Madrid's lay out. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.
